A Song For Flo - Music Video

A Song For Flo by Andy Townshend. Flo is a super 7-year-old with high-risk Neuroblastoma, the song and music video were made to raise awareness for her situation.

Stranger - Short Film

A man walking to his car must react when a stranger unexpectedly gets into the passenger seat.

‘Stranger’ is the first production Tom directed in his final year at university. It was selected in 7 film festivals, becoming an award winner for the Best Student Film at the Phoenix Shorts Festival and the London Indie Short Festival.

The Centre of the Universe - Short Film

An arrogant young man wishes he was the centre of the universe. He soon comes to realise that a reality like that isn’t what he expected.

The Centre of the Universe is the first production that Tom directed in his second year of being a film student. The film was also screened at the Young Talent Film Festival 2020 in Cardiff.

When Scott Met Yasmin - Short Film

Feeling out of place at a party, socially awkward Scott Richards attempts to make a connection with a girl he has a crush on.

When Scott Met Yasmin is a coming-of-age short film which Tom helped create as part of the Staffordshire University Genre Month Society.

Showreel Scene for Actor Jack Pritchard

A short scene, filmed entirely by Tom for an actor’s showreel.

Tom was approached to film a short scene that would be part of Jack’s acting showreel. Tom planned and filmed the shots and lighting, captured the audio and edited the final scene according to Jack’s direction.

Staffs TV

Staffs TV is the student television station for Staffordshire University’s Students’ Union.

Tom contributed to creating digital online media for Staffs TV since he started university. In his second year, he became a committee member and in his third year, he became the Assistant Station Manager, becoming responsible for helping lead the society.

He took on various different production roles both in the studio and in the gallery. He also presented to the camera and edited several videos.

Tom was a member of Staffs TV from September 2018 - June 2021

Upcoming Projects:

  • A documentary web series that follows Tom learning how to draw by practising in a sketchbook every single day for a year.

  • This project is about a character called Amy, who’s afraid as she’s about to leave home. Suddenly one day she finds a device which can seemingly freeze time, making everything look like a painting.

    It is entirely directed, written, shot and edited by Tom within the confines of pandemic production. It is currently in post-production.

  • This project is a documentary about Tom’s Grandmother, Linda, and her experience living with rheumatoid arthritis for the past 50 years.

    Production is currently on hold due to the unfortunate passing of Linda in April 2022. However, there is a plan to complete it.
